We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team of 4.
Previous experience is essential working within a Accountancy Practice environment . It would be advantageous if you were ACCA, ACA qualified (or the equivalent) however solid experience will also be considered.

The successful Accountant will have excellent communication skills, be literate and have excellent numeracy skills, and being very well organised.
Hours:
Full time 37.5 hours a week, Part time hours will be considered.
Office hours:
9-5.30pm

Our office is located in Ladbroke Grove, 10 mins walk from either Ladbroke Grove Station, Kensal Rise Station or Westborne Park Station

Permanent with a 3-month probationary period

Part study support
The successful candidate will be responsible for various aspects of client work including:
· Preparation of statutory accounts
· Preparation of personal tax returns
· Preparation of company tax returns
· Processing Transactions on Cloud Accounting Systems
· Preparation of accounts files and working papers
· Preparation on VAT returns
· Preparation of monthly management accounts
· Ad hoc duties: Supporting events, where we talk as subject matter experts
· Submission of clients’ year end accounts with HMRC and Companies House
Qualifications and experience required:
· Qualified ACA/ACCA
· Conversant with FRS102 and FRS105
· Working knowledge of Income Tax, Corporation Tax, R &D, VAT, Capital Gains Tax. Familiar with tax treatment of expenses and benefits. Exposure to taxation of rental properties.
· Skilled in intermediate Microsoft Excel; Competent with other Office software.
· Use of accounting packages (e.g. Xero, Free Agent)
· Working in an accounting practice
· Tax Calc

· Ability to multi-task while also working with precision and accuracy; Application of rigour to all tasks allocated;
· Well presented, bright, energetic, enthusiastic with “Can Do” attitude
· Good time and deadline management
· Team player, able to progress into supervision as the necessity arises
Preference will be given to candidates who can show significant demonstrable experience in the above areas, and to those from a practice background .
