Would you like to meet a man who is looking for some company and a bit of a chat with someone likeminded?

He has a rare brain condition that affects his mobility, his memory and his speech, so it takes him some time to process communication. Having moved from a care home in the Borders to another one in Edinburgh only a couple of years ago, and having recently lost his brother, he has very few local connections and the other residents are significantly older than him.

He was in the Merchant Navy for many years, and loves anything to do with boats and travel. He has been to many places around the world and likes a bit of nature programmes and politics on TV. He’s a fan of rugby, likes adventure films, reads crime and mystery novels, and would be interested in getting out to museums and parks with a befriender.

He lives near Merchiston, about 30 minutes from central Edinburgh by public transport.
