The William Morgan Group is an authorised BMW / MINI / Motorrad Retailer made up of Wollaston Motors and North Oxford Garage Northamptonshire and Oxfordshire. As we continue to grow we have a fantastic opportunity for a Group IT Technician to join our Group team.

We’re looking for candidates with a full valid UK Driving Licence, excellent communication skills, a pleasant and polite manner, ability to work in a team and autonomously and you must have a thorough knowledge of computer software and hardware and a variety of internet applications, networks and operating systems. The ideal candidate will also have great troubleshooting abilities and attention to detail.

As the Group IT Technician, your main responsibilities will include:

* Set up workstations with computers and necessary peripheral devices (routers, printers etc.)

* Check computer hardware (HDD, mouse’s, keyboards etc.) to ensure functionality

* Install and configure appropriate software and functions according to specifications

* Develop and maintain local networks in ways that optimize performance

* Ensure security and privacy of networks and computer systems

* Provide orientation and guidance to users on how to operate new software and computer equipment

* Perform troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve problems (repair or replace parts, debugging etc.)

* Maintain records/logs of repairs and fixes and maintenance schedule

* Identify computer or network equipment shortages and place orders

The role is a Group role and will involve travelling between our Oxford and Northampton locations on a weekly basis.
