The Junior Systems Engineer is responsible for setup and maintenance of company machines. The role has a wider scope to assist with all server related tasks company wide, and work with the software team on new solution designs.
Experience
Someone in this role would have a minimum of 1 years’ experience working in a technical role.
Education / Qualifications / Certifications
No specific qualification or certifications are expected for this role, however any technical related ones will be beneficial.
The role requires someone who is committed to high quality, has a high attention to detail, works well with others. The person will be working in a fast placed team interacting with people from all levels of the business and customers, and as such should have great communication skills.

Troubleshooting user reported issues on Windows and Linux machines
Managing tickets via IT ticketing System
Maintenance of Internal infrastructure
Ensuring all servers are working as expected
Helping with day to day running of other Systems
Ensuring backups are working
Maintaining Network Systems (VPN / Firewalls)
Windows Administration
Microsoft Office Technologies
Network TCP/UDP/VPN Knowledge
Monitoring Solutions (Nagios / Cacti / Site24x7)
Desirable Skills
Virtualisation Technologies VMWare / Hyper-V
WSUS & Active Directory
Basic programming skills in any language
Shell scripting or other command based scripting
