Kingspan Insulation has an opportunity for a Finance Assistant / Purchase Ledger to join their team in Pembridge, Herefordshire. You will work on a full time, permanent basis and will receive a competitive salary of £18,000 – £21,000 per annum plus benefits.

The role:

We now have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Assistant / Purchase Ledger clerk, who will be employed on a permanent basis to perform accounting and clerical tasks relating to the efficient maintenance and processing of accounts payable transactions.

As our Finance Assistant / Purchase Ledger you will:

– Review and verify invoices

– Sort, code and match invoices

– Set invoices up for payment

– Enter invoices into system

– Track expenses and process expense reports

– Post transactions to journals, ledgers and other records

– Reconcile accounts payable transactions to Statements

– Prepare analysis of accounts

– Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date

– Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues

– Correspond with vendors and respond to queries

– Assist with month end closing

– Provide supporting documentation for audits

Skills, knowledge and experience required by our Finance Assistant / Purchase Ledger:

Ideally you will have an accountancy qualification (AAT), although individuals without this should not be discouraged from applying. You will however have knowledge of accounts payable and general accounting procedures. Preferably, you will have previously used Sage and SAP and be proficient in data entry and management. 5 years’ accounts payable or general accounting experience would be advantageous, however candidates who have gained 1-5 years’ experience are encouraged to apply.

You will have experience and understanding of AP workflow/automation and have the ability to organise and prioritise your workload. You will need to have high attention to detail and accuracy, be confidential and have excellent communication skills. A team player, who has experience of working in a Shared Service Centre or Centralised Accounts Payable would also be beneficial, as well as the ability to problem-solve.
