Financial Controller – £56k +25% bonus – London
My Client is a small, rapidly expanding group of specialist beer & food pubs who currently run 6 sites with a new site planned for late 2019. With the growth and development of the brand there has been a need for an ambitious, commercially-minded Financial Controller with pub or restaurant experience to join this exciting, fast-growing business.
Role
Part of a 2-man department with the Financial Controller having a full or part-time bookkeeper to bring the management accounts to trial balance.
To plan for the expansion of the department as the Company grows, while being mindful of cost.
Business planning and budgeting
Pro-actively manage the Company cashflow bearing in mind expansion and new project plans
Issue weekly KPI report to the Board and Management
Prepare a monthly Board Pack and
Manage relationships with bank and shareholders
Work with Marketing to put systems in place for monitoring the performance of promotions and other sales initiatives
Monitor management performance versus bonus targets
To ensure that cash and margin controls are rigorous and systematic
Assist in assessing new site opportunities
Regular ‘pub calls’ to monitor quality, standards and delivery of brand promise
A love and knowledge of craft beer wouldn’t be a disadvantage
