We’re a family of 6 looking for a hard working, organised and motivated nanny to help us with our busy lives.
I am a single father to 5 boys who are 7, 10, twins of 12 and 13 years old. They are all very sporty and generally like being outside. I need extra help from 2pm until 8pm in school time and the hours would increase during the summer holidays. I am also away at some points in the year so there would be an element of proxy parenting where you would need to stay over.
You will need to be comfortable with year 4 and 6 spellings and homework as the two younger boys will need some help. They are in a great routine with it and are good at doing it by themselves in general.
The boys do a variety of extra activities and as we live in a village they are all a short drive away. The older 3 get themselves home from school but you would do the younger ones school run, which is a walk away. All nursery duties are included in your job role, the boys have always been encouraged to take responsibility for their rooms and daily tasks around the house, they do need prompting and help sometimes. You would need to cook dinner for the boys each night, they’re good eaters!
A normal week would be about 30 hours increasing to around 50/60 when I am away. Also overnight rate is paid at £50. During school holidays there would also be more hours.
This is a live out position and you will need your own car. I have a 7 seater which can be used when needed but 45p a mile is paid if you need to use your own.
