Dog and Cat Pregnancy Scanning – Mobile Ultrasound – West Midlands area

I am based in Kingswinford, West Midlands and offer a professional and friendly service using the latest CE Certified calibrated veterinary ultrasound machine. The ultrasound I use gives a high resolution image and video, which can be emailed to you as a keepsake. Ultrasound scanning is completely painless, no shaving is required and there is no risk to the mother, or the puppies. I can also scan well behaved cats.

Whether your bitches potential pregnancy was planned or an accident, it is always better to be armed with the knowledge that puppies are viable. A trained ultrasound technician will be able to point out heart beats and give you an estimated due date.

An estimation as to the number of puppies can also be given so you can treat the mother accordingly as regards food and exercise. It is always important to know that there is more than one puppy, as dams expecting a singleton puppy may not produce enough hormones to go into labour naturally and/or the puppy may grow quite large and require medical intervention.

Scans are always performed with the owners present, unlike at a veterinary surgery where your pet is sometimes taken away to another room, this allows you to take part in the experience, and ask questions about what you are seeing. I can also provide images and or videos of the pregnancy (sent via email), as keepsakes for free.

Please be aware that an ultrasound showing clear gestational sacks at 30 days post ovulation are actually often foetus that are only between 1 – 3mm in diameter, and they still have a huge journey ahead of them. No ultrasound technician/vet can guarantee the number of puppies from an ultrasound scan and can only confirm pregnancy on ‘that’ day.

Due to time wasters, a £10 deposit will be required for all mobile scans at the time of booking. Sorry to take this stance, but I don’t have the time to spend an afternoon driving around the West Midlands to a false appointment.
