Our Opportunity
As a growing business both here in the UK and internationally there’s an ongoing requirement for modern, robust and intuitive IT and manufacturing systems and processes. In the role Software Developer (C#, .Net, SQL) for our IT Systems team you’ll play a central role in fulfilling this requirement, by working on a variety of long-term projects and shorter-term maintenance issues.
Our IT Systems team is a central function in our business, which works closely with all other technical departments, such as our large R&D, Continuous Improvement and Production functions. As a result you’ll not only need to be a talented Software Developer (C#, .Net, SQL), but someone who can prioritise effectively, solve complex problems and manage the expectations of multiple stakeholders.
The role of Software Developer (C#, .Net, SQL) would be best suited to someone with proven development skills in a fast-paced environment, who’s accustom to taking ownership and delivering their requirements on time. In return we offer varied, challenging and rewarding role, where no two days will be the same.
Your role
– Develop and enhance the software for new and existing products and services, primarily using Microsoft and a range of web-based languages, tools and techniques, on individual and group projects.
– Develop new modules and integrations for cutting-edge operational applications, with the support of the Business Analysis team, based on requirements on the product backlog.
– Resolve user product maintenance issues on live systems promptly, through effective prioritisation and time management, to meet customer demands.
– Lead peer reviews and highlight opportunities for continuous improvement.
– Work closely with various departments, stakeholders and internal customers to deliver requirements on time and to budget.
Your Skills & Experience
– Proven, professional Software Developer, ideally from an Agile environment with exposure to system and processes.
– Excellent knowledge of OOPS, C#, ASP.Net and SQL/My-SQL.
– Good knowledge of code versioning control and code debugging.
– A positive individual, who’s able to think quickly, take ownership and resolve issues.
– The ability to understand others and their needs, whilst being able to effectively communicate with them.
– A relevant degree or equivalent would be advantageous.
