GROOM – We are looking to recruit an experienced full-time groom for a busy polo, hunting and point to point yard near Coldstream in the Scottish Borders. Working as part of a team, you will be a hard worker with enthusiasm and a ‘can do’ attitude. The job will involve all aspects of stable management including mucking out, grooming, feeding, paddock maintenance etc. Must turn out to a high standard including plaiting and clipping. Competent and confident rider a must as horses are not all novice rides. Experience riding fit and strong horses (in particular thoroughbreds) would be beneficial.
Will include some weekend and evening work. Flexibility a must. Rural location so will need a driving licence.
Salary commensurate with experience.
3 bed cottage available (if required) as part of the salary package.
Possibility of bringing own horse
Occasional hunting
Start June (but could be later if necc).
Recent references will be required.

HOUSEKEEPER (Part time) – There is the option for the Groom’s partner to work for us, part time. This is not essential, but would be a great bonus. 12 hours per week as our Housekeeper, working with our cleaner. General house upkeep, cleaning, washing and occasional ironing. Must have attention to detail and pride in the house. There is also the option of more hours waitressing at occasional dinner parties in the house.
