Key responsibilities

Play a full and active role in the development and running of the studio.

Line manage and mentor the Project Assistant..

Contribute to the strategic planning and development of the studio premises

Be proactive in identifying appropriate and effective solutions to the developing needs of the studio.

IT, office, buildings and facilities management;

Health, safety and wellbeing;

Diversity & Inclusion and environmental sustainability.

Participate in the development of and help to improve internal communications activities.

Manage, develop and motivate the Project Assistant and Head Chef/Catering Manager, and other relevant members of the support team in Edinburgh.

Carry out appraisals, set team objectives, encourage personal development and deal with staff issues in liaison with the HR Manager.

Attend and actively contribute to monthly Whole Office (WOM) Meetings, as well as other internal support team meetings.

Plan and coordinate relevant business and operational related activity.

Collaborate with the London support team on website, social and other general company activities and events

Provide PA support to the Edinburgh team Partner and Senior Associate

Skills and Experience

A high standard of education including English & numeracy

Effective people management/coaching skills. including leadership. team-building and motivational skills.

Excellent interpersonal & communication skills. including highly developed influencing & negotiating skills.

Exceptional organisation skills with the ability to work on a range of projects and/or tasks simultaneously

Strong IT skills. with experience of using all MS Office applications

Proven experience working within a similar Office/Practice Manager role.

Experience of implementing and dealing with business systems. administration. HR and managing finances and service provisions.

Experience of implementing a Business Continuity Plan.
