Experienced Land Manager required in Gifford, Scotland (approx. 20 miles from Edinburgh)
This position comes with a house on the grounds of the estate. You also have access to a work vehicle.
Salary Up to £38,000.00

Core responsibilities:
The candidate needs to ensure all on-site facilities and equipment are kept in expertly maintained condition at all times
Ensure the needs of the Estate Owners are met, and they conform to all relevant compliancy regulations (hold all essential certifications and/or training for maintenance/gardening equipment etc)
Take overall responsibility for all Health & Safety matters on the site, ensuring actions are taken and processes & structures are in place to assure the safety of the family, staff and visitors
Have management responsibility for the Estate staff (including hiring and vetting), Estate events, Estate farm and Estate woodlands
Handling the Estate budget, recommending and implementing improvements to increase quality and reduce costs
Oversee, maintain and develop the overall security of the Estate, with a strong emphasis on the safety of Estate owner’s family
Responsibilities
General Estate maintenance and upkeep
Working closely with owners regarding the budget and evolution of the Estate
Managing Estate staff along with hiring new staff
Health and Safety coordinator for the Estate
Upkeep and care of livestock
Internal Project Manager
Ensuring security is optimized
Working with the local community and school
