This curved soprano saxophone was bought from new by myself and has been used in a local amateur big band and small quintet. It is a beautiful bronze colour with contrasting brass keys and mechanism and is in excellent condition. It comes with a good quality ebonite mouthpiece and ligature. It also comes with the original neck-strap and case.
Curved sopranos are less commonly seen than straight ones but they tend to have a more colourful tone especially in the lower register and overall much more character and involvement. This particular soprano was tried against much more expensive straight instruments and found to be richer and more engaging – my sax teacher preferred it to his own straight Yanagasawa! It has the presence and soul to be used in a jazz band but is equally at home with playing classical music with subtlety and finesse.
