Where does this role fit in?

Front End Development. It opens up a world of possibility. Like an artist with a blank canvas you use your knowledge of HTML to create, build and amend pixel-perfect email templates for a range of our top-tier clients.

You’ll show creative understanding and passion for email development, producing quality emails for our clients. You’ll be working across a multitude of projects at any given time so you’ll need to manage your workload well. You’ll be the lead on the briefs which come through, challenging on issues where needed and taking ownership of the build. You’ll be working alongside Digital Project Managers and key client stakeholders to consistently deliver quality communications. As the expert for email development, you’ll provide sound best practice direction and solutions to email campaign related challenges.

Emails are built from layered Photoshop files, tested through Litmus and delivered through Campaign Monitor, any experience with these programs is definitely a bonus to your application!

The Technical Stuff:

You’ll have good knowledge of modular and responsive HTML and CSS for email marketing

You have a solid understanding of cross-client/platform issues, code solutions, best practices and email guidelines/standards

Knowledge and experience of:

Version Control (Git)

BitBucket

Adobe Photoshop / InDesign / Illustrator

Email Testing (Litmus or Email on Acid)

You as a person:

Great communication skills, you’ll be liaising with Project Managers, Account Managers, and other key stakeholders across the business

Ability to work independently, and the ability to check your own code. You won’t be micromanaged here so managing your time to deliver quality with speed is important.

You have a customer service mindset, with a desire to deliver an impeccable service on time, every time

You have a desire to learn new things, with a positive attitude

Good prioritisation skills, being able to balance sometimes conflicting demands.
