About the Team
The Next Online (internet and catalogue) business is extremely fast paced and constantly changing. Working in the Online Finance Team, this exciting and challenging role provides financial support for the management of the Call Centre and underpins our trade reporting.
The Call Centre provides an excellent customer service to our online customers both in the UK and internally therefore you will play a key business partnering role to the senior leadership team on all KPI’s and Analysis.
You will support trade reporting including analysing sales figures and KPI’s as well as preparing trading figures for external statements.
About the Role
You will:
Carry out all month end duties to ensure all call centre costs are accurately represented against the correct cost centre as well as budgeting for all costs on a seasonal basis.
Provide monthly full season forecast updates and proposals for review by the Senior Finance Managers.
Provide an excellent business partnering service to the call centre management team and liaise regularly to provide financial support as required. This will include preparing and presenting a monthly call centre cost pack and providing insight into cost drivers and trends.
Support in trade reporting including regular reporting on performance during mid season and end of season markdown sales including calculating return rates and providing quarterly interim and season end trading reports.
Provide relevant and accurate reports to aid understanding and decision making on an ad hoc basis as required.
Criteria
About You
Nearly Qualified or Qualified accountant with previous experience in a similar role.
Good knowledge of data manipulation, logic, formatting and formula is essential.
Effective communication at all levels including presentation complex financial data in a meaningful way to a senior leadership population.
Excellent relationship building and influencing skills with stakeholders across multiple business areas.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to assimilate large volumes of data.
Excellent excel skills is essential and experience of working with SQL would be desirable.
