Isuzu Trucks NPR 77 TURBO ELECTRIC DI
Nov 2007, one owner – me.
21,175 miles from new. Probably the best value full 6 berth van with garage around at the moment.
Heaps to list but I’ll give it a shot:
Huge garage that can take 2 motorcycles if needed or heaps of pushbikes and all the gear you could wish (the pics below show it loaded with a 6kva generator, two 6x4m marquees, power, tables, chairs etc. and it’s not even dented the space available!).
2 x adjustable Fiamma load-lash tracks for securing loads
Rear-mounted Fiamma cycle rack (can hold three bikes),
Stainless steel chequerplate bike ramp,
4m Fiamma awning with safari room,
Custom built tow-bar (attached to original chassis, not extension like most so you have the full original towing rating),
Twin gas locker with auto-switching regulator (currently plumber for English and French propane but just change one hose for double English),
Large Trauma heater/hot water tank,
Blown air heating throughout,
Full size fridge-freezer,
Separate sink with full-size chrome mixer tap (brand new),
Separate fixed shower,
Thetford cassette toilet with fixed sink,
Ample cupboards and lockers,
6 seats (4 forward facing), all with seatbelts,
Fixed dining table (can be removed and/or used to make up 3rd bed),
2 x king-size doubles (one over the cab, one fixed at the rear) and centre dinette converts into double,
15″ TV in front cabinet,
17″ HD TV/DVD over rear bed,
2.4 litre 140 bhp TDCI diesel engine,
Remapped for economy & torque,
6 speed manual,
Unmarked leather steering wheel,
Thermal cab blinds (keeps heat/could out),
2 x leisure batteries (new in 2015),
2 x engine batteries (new in 2016),
Media centre with ipod, 2 x USB and bluetooth inputs
DVD player, DTV etc. etc.
2 x sets of headlights (RHD and LHD, easy to change and perfect for touring Europe)
Probably missed a whole bunch of stuff out but you get the idea.
We brought the van new when we were racing and it served us well as a mobile base. Since we have stopped we only use it once or twice a year for the annual trip to Le Mans or Spa so sadly it’s an indulgence that I can no longer afford. Mechanically all is in great condition, it will be serviced and sold with a brand new 12 month MOT.
The interior is tip-top, not quite ‘showroom fresh’, but pretty darn close and does not look the 11 years that she is. There are a few minor issues – the trim on the windows has started to shrink slightly – nothing to worry about but could use someone a little handier than I to pop it back into the tracks. One of the small windows in the top berth has some small crazing from the sun – again, it’s cosmetic but important to note it.
The exterior is generally good with a couple of small exceptions. The near-side plastics took a battering in the hail storm we had here a few weeks back and have a couple of cracks/holes in. They are not structural so no issues there but a little unsightly and if I were buying the van today I’d plan to get them repaired so we have priced the van accordingly and fairly to take this into account.
