London – Chinese Mandarin Tuition with a University Lecturer, Currently Tutoring SOAS Students

Description

Type : Jobs
Condition : Part time
Warranty : No
Location : London, UK

Learn Mandarin with a highly experienced University Lecturer from Beijing. I teach International Business and Chinese as part of a degree course at a University in London. I also give private tutorial to corporate business Chinese learners as well as students from SOAS, UCL and Kings, helping them achieve excellent results in the HSK exams and their academic exams.

Having studied Turkish at SOAS and International Business in China, I am cultural conscious and open minded. I can provide you good insight into the Chinese culture, economics as well as the historical backgrounds to certain events.

My teaching approach is communicative and student centred, constantly adjusting teaching strategies to meet your specific learning goals, whether it is conversation, grammar or Chinese characters. Many of my students who were stuck on intermediate level were able to move up to the advanced level with my tutoring.

I am also particularly good at explaining complicated grammar points which can be frustrating if one wants to progress beyond the just survival level.

It is my strong belief that building a solid foundation in the pronunciations and tones helps boost student’s confidence. With my practical approach, many students find they can start communicating and making logical sentences within one or two lessons.

Help with the Classical Chinese studies can also be provided, the Classical Chinese has different grammar to modern Chinese, I can also proofread your dissertation and coursework.

Translation and interpretation services are also offered.

Individual and group inquiries are both welcome. References from the current and previous clients can be provided on requests.

Intelligent, dynamic tuition with flexible timetable and reasonable rate, from £25 per hour.

Central London or South West London preferred.
