DESCRIPTION

We are a small building and maintenance contactor established in 1986. We require a part-time Bookkeeper to work 3-4 mornings per week in our office in South Belfast, reporting directly to the office manager and Directors.This is an excellent opportunity for a diligent, bright individual who is keen to work within a supportive and dynamic office environment.

Duties include:

Matching of invoices to purchase orders and delivery notes

Checking validity of invoices

Liaising with staff to resolve purchase queries

Processing purchase ledger invoices using SAGE L50 (training provided)

Processing of payroll, CIS and VAT payments

Reconciliation of purchase ledger to supplier statements

Preparation of supplier payments

Other ad-hoc accounting and administrative duties

Any other relevant purchase ledger duties or administration duties as and when required

Education / Experience

Previous experience within a finance / accounts office environment preferred

Extensive experience using Microsoft Office (primarily Outlook, Word and Excel) and Sage

Ability to work as part of a team and also manage your own workload

Excellent time management skills and ability to work to strict deadlines

Good organisational skills and ability to work on a variety of tasks while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
