Essential Requirements
Practical & Caring approach to animal welfare.
Good communication skills.
It’s probable, but not essential, that you have experience of working in kennels.
Confident with dog handling and knowledge of dog behaviour.
Confident with cat handling
Own transport essential due to rural location.
Responsibilities
Experience of handling a wide variety of breeds. You must be committed & passionate about caring for and working with all of the dogs and cats, some of which may be challenging. The role includes cleaning kennels and Cattery pens, feeding dogs and cats and various other kennel associated tasks.
On a day-to-day basis, the responsibilities will include, but not be limited to;
The opening and closing of the kennels
Handling dogs and cats
Cleaning Kennels and exercise areas
Organising and feeding this may include accurate distribution of any medications
Liaising with customers
Working as part of a team
