We are looking for an au pair from late August / Early September to look after my son aged 6. Alternatively, we would be open to part-time live in/live-out nannies, but more interested if they are ofsted-registered.

We have a lovely house and garden, and there are lots of other nannies and au pairs around who you could make friends with.

We have 2 cats – so you have to like cats.

If you are an au-pair, you could live in our house. If you prefer to live out it would be better if you are Ofsted-registed for reasons I will explain.

We need 18- 25 hours a week which can be childcare, some housework, some cooking if you like cooking, maybe some babysitting in the evenings. So mainly afternoons from around 3pm to 6.30 or 7 pm. Sometimes taking to school in the mornings and getting him ready for that. Taking him to swimming lessons and thinking of interesting things to do.

He loves climbing and trains, and is a sweet little boy who is very well-behaved. (usually!)

We are a friendly couple, I used to make TV documentaries, now about to training as an art teacher, and my partner is a journalist who often works from home. We love food, art, travelling. I speak some Spanish and Italian. My son learns Spanish at school and piano and swimming outside school. It would be great if you were musical.
