Where does this role fit in?
Following rapid growth, we’re looking for an additional Finance Manager to join our Finance team here in Birmingham. A good all-round position, you’ll be the key point of contact for a large portfolio of our client teams, bridging the gap between the Finance department and the Client Account teams.
You enjoy being the go-to person, and can advise the client teams on preparing their month end accounts, budgeting, and forecasting requirements. You’ll also be advising on a number of other financial and commercial support areas they may need. A true Business Partner role, you enjoy servicing a wide range of people across the business and like the prospect of juggling the demands of multiple stakeholders, being solution driven and working to tight deadlines. You’ll have the support of the wider Finance team where necessary but often you will be working as if you were an independent consultant.
In this role, you’ll want to be able to comfortably challenge budgeting assumptions, ensure the integrity and best usage of the job management system, continually review the job profitability and identify any sub-optimal margins.
Ultimately, this role is about helping the account teams maximise the margins they can get. You’ll be integral to helping the client teams grow their accounts and you take pride on being able to maximise the profitability of each of them.

You can advise on both financial and management accounting practices; you’ve got experience in doing this within an organisation
Attitude is key here at ITG, you’ve a positive approach to problem solving and the ability to hold your own in response to challenges
You’ve got a strong business mind, with the ability to foster good practices amongst the client teams
Finally, you’ve got great Excel skills with an analytical mind to analyse and report on management information
