Retail:

We have an excellent reputation for customer service. Our loyal customer base is recorded on our EPOS system where we track each customer and each sale. We have a wide range of stock of equipment, all included in the sale and on the EPOS system.

We run a limb exchange programme which is a key selling point and results in repeat visits to us and an opportunity to upsell.

Areas for development: We have the software, but have not set up an online store, so there is a potential to grow the customer base.

Training and coaching:

We run and fill beginners courses and taster sessions each month. We have courses for improvers, bow tuning, longbow making and arrow making with bookings and dates set for future courses. One to one coaching has proved very popular.

We offer Archery GB Instructor Courses and Level 1 Coaching courses and have a classroom for these.

We have regular bookings from scout groups, charities and a school. Bookings extend into 2019.

Areas for development:

Events are easy to run and provide a good return. There is also a lucrative market for targeting children’s parties. Taster sessions are run once a month and are normally over subscribed, so adding further sessions would be possible.

Club

We have around 175 ‘members’ and this number has been fairly consistent for the last few years.

We run tournaments each month and charge members to take part which generates additional income. We also run a 252 scheme with our own badges for sale.

Areas for development:

The field is underutilised at the moment and there is the potential for hiring it out for tournaments, archery tag, etc etc.
